We appointed TAF in January 2021, to support our business – after an initial piece of investigative work by TAF – with a post Covid-19 mobilisation project, to mobilise a nationwide catering contract of 8 staff restaurants; taking them, from outsourced (by a large UK contract caterer) to in-house.
As part of the project, TAF was engaged to collaborate with our internal operations, procurement, IT, HR and comms. TAF demonstrated excellent teamwork, regular status meetings, good communications skills, leadership of project tasks, creativity (around the rebranding of the transitioning staff restaurants) and analytical thinking (to rise to the various ad hoc challenges that arose from the moveable feast of our project). TAF were also required to make site visits, being a provider of essential services, and not only had their own lateral flow tests (for internal testing and safety) but adhered to our own safety measures.
Tracey’s knowledge of marketing and public relations was a huge advantage to what we were trying to achieve, in transitioning a catering team, who felt unloved by the caterer employing them. She used her skills in influencer marketing and writing to get these new employees noticed and feel like the heroes we felt they were. We could see Tracey also worked hard, as the Project Lead, to retain excellent terms with her team’s associate consultants, the outgoing caterer and third parties, as well as the senior stakeholders of our business.
TAF completed all project tasks to budget and with minimal supervision, that’s why we are confident in giving TAF more significant and on-going projects to handle. We would have no problem in recommending TAF for any type of catering consultancy project, as it is just the kind of fresh, flexible, evolving catering consultancy anyone in Facilities needs today, in an ever-changing post pandemic world.
TAF deliver true non bias reports and this was a breath of fresh air. Having been a contractor I know there are some allegiances with contractors and for me it was so important that we can trust our consultants to be independent.
Tracey brings work skills from her previous life in advertising and applies it in an unconventional way that breaks the mould of catering consultancy and by approaching the project from different angles, she engages caterer and client to challenge them to break new ground.
